Decorative gilded mirror in good condition, late 18ct France.
Frame Material and Finish:
The frame appears to be made of carved wood or molded gesso, finished in a rich gilded gold leaf.
The gilding has a warm, aged patina, adding to its antique charm.
Ornamentation:
Top Centerpiece: Features a highly ornate crest with two winged cherubs or putti, each merging into a stylized fish or sea creature tail, suggesting a mythological or fantastical theme, possibly Neoclassical or Rococo influence.
